DMCA Policy

Our Commitment to Intellectual Property

We believe in protecting original creations. The content published on The Globetrotter’s Home, including articles, images, and travel guides, aims to be original or used with proper authorization. We expect our users and content contributors to uphold the same standards.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the material’s use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

Counter-Notification Process

If your content was removed following a DMCA takedown notice, you may submit a counter-notification. We will restore the content within 10-14 business days unless the copyright owner files a court action seeking an order to restrain the subscriber from engaging in infringing activity.

Your counter-notification must be in writing and include these elements:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number.
  • A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district where your address is located (or if outside the U.S., any judicial district where nlnig.org may be found). You must also accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification.
